With a full team and fine weather we were up for a good ride today. Also the seaside was calling. After meeting up with Rev Trev in Yeovil we travelled what has become a regular route through East Coker, East Chelborough, Rampisham, Cattistock and on to Maiden Newton. From here we set off across the beautiful Dorset Downs towards Bridport. A highlight of the day was finding the delightful village of Wynford Eagle with its very pretty church (see photo). As is usual at these places Rev Trev went on a reconnoitre but found the church locked. We then had to climb a very steep hill onto the downs which produced some wonderful views. West Bay and lunch was calling so we soon covered the miles to the seaside. We could not hang around as home was calling Ruth (something to do with a dog we think). Our homeward trip took us back through Salway Ashand and Broadwindsor where we took a deserved rest (see photo). We parted company with Rev Trev in Crewkerne and made our ways home. Another of our demons was partially conquered today, namely riding for the first time in the heat.
Miles today was = 63.
