Monday 28th April 2008

Mrs Robinson was at work today. The remaining three cycled to Glastonbury where we met up for coffee with Nick, a regular cycling companion. We then proceeded to Wells where Rev Trev used his insider knowledge to show some of us around the Cathedral. It is not sure what was said to the higher authorities within this house of God but we were blessed with thunder, lightening and some very cold heavy rain shortly after leaving! This came as somewhat of a shock firstly, we were trying to be very good in our thoughts and actions, and secondly; we were expecting good weather and were wearing shorts so our exposed legs suffered. Lunch was taken at a delightful pub in Wedmore. Our homeward trip saw us part company with Nick near Westhay, then through Shapwick, High Ham and Long Sutton. Todays ride was a very successful training exercise as it included variations in both weather and topography.
Miles today = 55.
