Vet Geoff was living it up for the week-end at his son's "stag do" so he was unable to be with us today (see photo). However, Digger Dave had been practicing a little during the week and felt ready to come out for a reasonable run. He was suitably clad in his new body armour which, we hasten to say, is to support his spine and not to protect him from the back stabbing of his fellow cyclists. It was a cold day after the nice few days of early spring so we went at a leisurely pace making various stops with the object of collecting financial support from people known on route. We even managed to collect £16 from the pub where we had lunch. And we didn't have to sing or dance. Desperate times calls for desperate measures! The route took us to South Petherton, the Seavingtons, Donyatt, Horton, Ilton. Stocklinch, Shepton Beauchamp, Coat and, of course for one of us, back to Yeovil.
Miles today = 46. Well done Dave, you did well!
