29th March 2008 Ride

Todays ride was all about water. Rev Trev was unable to come out to play because he was preparing parents for the wetting of a child (christening). Mrs Robinson and Vet Geoff also met with some water. The journey was not long but my did it rain!. We also experienced very strong winds that not only made the rain near horizontal but also when met head on could nearly stop us in our tracks. It was good experience though and we now know we can cope with these conditions. Hopefully the weather in July will be better. Our ride took us to Ilminster via Lopen, Hinton St George and Kingstone. Todays watering hole was at Vet Geoff's brother's where we were provided with towels and hot drinks. We returned via Whitelackington, Shepton Beauchamp, Kingsbury, Muchelney and then head long into the wind back to Martock. There is no photo for today as the rain would have damaged the camera and photo opportunities were few.
Miles today = 26. It felt like twice this by the time we returned home.
